At the heart of IFF is a deeply informed inter-disciplinary and international network of individuals from a range of backgrounds covering a wide range of diverse perspectives, countries and disciplines. The group meets as a learning community as often as possible, including in plenary session.
IFF is organised around three primary functions: research, design and development, and delivery. The governance arrangements oversee both the activities of IFF and its related commercial arm, IFF Praxis Ltd.
Over the years IFF has worked with diverse organisations and partners addressing the looming issues, the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century. IFF
has played the role of imaginative catalyst, generating strategic insight.
In 2008 The Boathouse in Aberdour, Fife became the IFF’s physical home. The Boathouse is a purpose designed inspirational conference and workshop space on the banks of the Forth. IFF’s intention over time is to establish The Boathouse as both the headquarters for IFF’s international activities and as a centre for transformative innovation, including workshops and training programmes, in the heart of Scotland.
